If he's as vocal and 'transparent' in trade negotiations as he is to the media he's never going to out-and-out 'win' a trade. Opposing GMs are going to know exactly what his intentions are from the word Go and are going to be able to milk maximum value out of us.

Do you really think anything said at a press conference is some kind of disclosure that other GMs listen to and take to heart? The NHL is like a big high school, and there's far more information being passed around behind the scenes. I doubt anything said in public is news to NHL brass.
