I have a dander allergy. Cats affect me the most, some large dogs as well. We have a Westie (West Highland White Terrier), and I've never noticed any allergy symptoms around him.
Though friends of mine are allergic to dogs and say that they'll notice minor itchy arms/etc, so I guess take that for what it's worth.
