In RNH draft year I remember reading from scouts that he shouldn't play in the NHL the following year because he was too slight. Two years of him being often injured later the kid has undergone shoulder surgery. Rebuilding isn't a race and you have to have more of a long term strategy than to just draft them and throw them to the wolves.

I totally agree. Look at Hall and RNH now with the Oilers. Cripes, they really haven't developed the strength and weight gain to a point where they can compete with the bigger guys. They keep ending their season early or they spend a lot of time on the IR. This is why you still want a core of veterans. The NHL is a man's game, not some frickin' minor league welcome wagon!
