In the past I haven't had great luck with a lot of shops (hack jobs, insufficient grounding, butt connectors, poor care taken with interior panels, etc) in this city like Audio Concepts, Soundsaround, etc so I do my own installs. Not only do I do a far better job I actually find makes for a nice weekend where I can get some peace from work and my family. Car audio installs are actually pretty simple if you have the tools, heat gun, and a solder iron. Just need to ensure you have the correct wiring harnesses and any adapters for steering wheel controls, bluetooth integration, etc.
