I'm really excited for this weekend...
But something that's bothering me - I've read some comments (and can't recall if they came from the team directly or not) where it would appear we might be on the prowl for bad contracts / reclamation projects.
Is anyone else concerned over the possibility of the Flames picking up really stupid contract(s)? It's taken so long to get rid of some of the no moves, dollars and dead weight we used to bandaid this group with over the years and we still have lingering parts we should probably move and talk about constantly. It's tiring and it would be nice to focus on a good clean draft & team of young kids for a change. No?
The damn Kotalik trade is still haunting me. I know that was under Sutter but when it comes to Feaster I know he was pursuing Richards right down to the wire as well. I got this funny feeling that desire didn't just hang itself out to dry. That and you known damn well Toronto is going to knock on our door in an attempt to offload Phaneuf. They seem to be able to sell us (the Eskimo) a fan whenever they want.
So prediction time do folks see Feaster acquiring bad contracts? And if so who potentially? Can also add under what circumstance you think we get it if you want. Curious to hear what people think.
