Icon46 How does the Canucks/Luongo saga end?

With Bernier going to the Leafs and the Bryzgalov buyout, where does this leave the Canucks and Luongo? There can't be many potential trading partners left. If you do want Luongo, do you trade for him knowing that you may be the only buyer? Does Luongo get bought? If you think you are the only buyer and Luongo is willing to waive his NMC, do you instead wait for him to be bought out, not give up assets, and sign him to a better contract?

Seems like Gillis overvalued Luongo or got greedy and missed his window for trading Luongo. The deal with Toronto that was rumoured to have been rejected by Gillis looks sweet now. Does Luongo get bought out? Does Schneider get traded? Does the Luongo/Schneider tandem continue? Are Florida or NYI still potential trade partners? Is there another team that may come out of the woodwork?
