He looks awkward on slow surfaces that don't offer much in the way of traction, like clay and grass. He's much more dangerous on hard courts.
With his ability to rack up free points on his serve as well as nailing forehand winners, he would have done much better at Wimbledon 15 years ago when the courts were much quicker. He'd have still had difficulty with some footwork but he would have gone deeper into the tournament due to his serve. Sadly for him, this isn't the case any longer.

Yup. He met just as good a server today and his return was much worse.
I'll still wait for the hardcourt season to pass judgement on him. I'm just glad he didn't injure himself this week.
