Totally agree. Props to any establishment that is doing something to help the cleanup effort but I was down in Mission helping out for most of today and I was blown away by the amount of food and drink down there supplied by ordinary people. Donuts, pizza, muffins, sandwiches, water, pop, beer....you name it. And this is being offered by people who still have no power, no gas, and whose houses are literally torn apart. We cleaned out one lady's basement and she had a portable campstove set up in the back yard that she was using to cook with, and still she kept trying to feed us. Although I was getting really hungry I just felt guilty taking food from people I was there to help. So many things about this flood suck so much, but seeing the way people have come together to look after each other has been amazing. I have never been prouder to be a Calgarian.
