You may have to jump onto Blackfoot to Glenmore - Crowchild and around to 33rd ave to 14th street North.. turn right on prospect avenue and should should be able to get to 5th street SW... turn south and you can park about a block away from the Safeway.
You can take Mission road some distance into Rideau park and walk... but it is still quite the trek.
