Adding to the problem is that Lafarge is the primary contractor on the ring road, who as far as I know is still not running their Deerfoot plant. They have huge penalties in place if they can't meet deadlines, so my guess is they will buying up all their aggregate from producers anywhere near the city. This will limit the availability, unless you want to truck it in from somewhere else ($$$$).
It's an interesting problem for sure.

What about the oil-sands projects? I would assume there is a significant amount of base construction materials on various sites waiting?
Obviously $$$$, but, there's gotta be some resources in Alberta that could spare/re-sell it.
