It's not just about the Predators, and I don't mean that the profile of the city comes into play. The arena there hosts a lot of high profile big ticket music events, and often. So resources would have been pumped into getting the arena back up and running ASAP not just for hockey but for lucrative concerts from bigger name artists/bands that would usually play Nashville and not Calgary.
I don't think we'll miss out on the whole season but I think a large road swing to start and games played elsewhere until December/January is a reasonable expectation to set.
