I don't work downtown but took Friday off due to uncertainty of being evacuated and being very close to evacuated areas and the potential for road closures making it difficult to get home at the end of the day. I think a lot of people from our company made it into work that day though.

As things progressed Friday, my boss phoned me to make sure I was okay and offered up a room in his house for me if I got evacuated or power went out. Very nice.

I'll go into work Monday though. Many of our projects will be either directly or indirectly impacted by the flooding though, so it might be a bit chaotic getting back into things. Still, there's stuff to work on and it will restore some normalcy. Another way of saying that is that I'm a workaholic and I need my fix.

All of the companies in downtown/Beltline should be actively encouraging their employees to stay home though. No transit, a road network and parking facilities in disarray, power still off in many areas and residents trying to return to the area is a bad mix for trying to get employees into work.
