Born and raised Calgarian, 27 years and I think this will make our city even stronger. I think we forget how completely fortunate we are. 0 deaths in Calgary so far with a massive amount of flooding. Everyone from the Calgary police, Fire department, EMS, Parking control, to the Army and countless other agencies has made that all possible. I love this city, wouldn't want to live anywhere else. What's not to like? you feel safe pretty much anywhere you go and I've lived in probably the worst neighborhood in Calgary my whole life and I would still feel confident walking alone at night. I've visited a lot of places and I'm not just saying this as cliché, but we honestly have some of the nicest good hearted people in the world.
We live in the best country in the world and one of the best cities in Canada. No flood will change that.
