Barkov's game is based on reading the play and maintaining a coherent game, like you'd expect from a center like him. He's not someone who runs around. He makes plays, he breaks up plays, he backchecks, but I haven't seen him chasing hits. His comment suggests that he wants to be maybe more active in looking for physical contact, but fundamentally there's nothing about his game that he needs to change. Like with skating, it's about adding some extra sharpness.
