Gio is very serviceable and locked down for 3 years at a decent cap hit, which is what the Pens need, and is why they are moving Letang.

I don't think the Pens can ask for to much when they are flat out saying, "We can't afford another high end player contract"

I don't care whether Letang is worth that or not, it is a terrible trade for the Flames.
Our defense would be worse than the Oilers' and we would have given up a 1st that would bring us another young, needed asset.
It drives me nuts that people want to trade (read: overpay) for every single player that becomes available, without giving any regard as to whether it would actually make sense or not.
