I think what GreenLantern is trying to say is when it comes to getting a 5th - 7th rounder for a guy who brings in 40 points+ and helps the team stay cap compliant the trade is not in the best interest of the flames.
I think some people are forgetting there is a cap floor and having Tangs, Stemp, Cammy, Sarich and possibly more gone and a player with an ECL taking that place Calgary will be below the cap floor.
Not to mention a team of all ECL players results in several years of cellar (not stellar) hockey. Ask our Neighbors up north.
