Mike would scored 13 goals last season, on pace for 20 to 25 goals.

Have you looked at the UFA pool for LW? Assuming no further changes between today and July 5th, Cammalleri is a better goal scorer than any of the free agents available right now. The UFAs available are guys like Morrow, Clowe, Gagner, Penner. Filppula is likely the best pending UFA LW available and I would be shocked if the Red Wings do not announce his new contract before July 5.
I assume that a few of those players will be signed by their teams in the next few weeks, making the market even tighter and after the first couple of days of the free agent frenzy there definitely could be a market for Cammalleri to be traded to a team expecting to contend.
Also, it is very narrowminded to view Cammi's performance last season as poor. Considering we were trying to play him at Center half the time and then blew the team up at the trade deadline. 13g and 32p (best on the team) is a very respectable first line production.
Move him back to his natural position and onto a line with a player like Zetterberg or Datsuyk and I bet Cammi is back to a point per game pace.
