JBO was one of the Blues best d-man once he arrived. He played better than PIETRANGELO in the playoffs. Again a guy they got for a 1st and spare parts.

Shirley You jest
Pittsburgh was supposed to contend for the SC even without Iginla. They are in the process of imploding in the aftermath of the Iginla trade. The coach had absolutely NO, Zero nada confidence in Iginla. He basically put his career on the line by playing Cooke more than Iginla....AND then after they were spanked by Boston Shero admitted his blunder and gave Blysma a 2 year extension. Shero makes another move like he did for Iginla and it will be his job on the line.
St.L eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.... getting swept in 4 straight after winning the 1st 2.... the first win by a fluke.
in the pre-Bouwmeester era with Kris Russell and Colaiacovo getting Bouwmeester's role and minutes they blew past San Jose in the first round.
Bouwmeester might have looked like their best d-man in your eyes but point to one game where he came through and was the hero... Bouwmeester is not a difference maker in a positive manner.
His D-partner... Regehr, Butler, Gio and now Pietrangelo all under-perform playing with him.
At 6.8M/yr I wouldn't want him back on the Flames for a 4th round pick.
