Sled Island organizers look to set new record with seventh outing

Organizers of Calgary’s seventh Sled Island are optimistic the event will top last year’s attendance of 30,000, setting a new record.

And Sledders can look forward to more than 275 bands plus comedians, visual artists and filmmakers split between nearly 40 venues.

“Where it’s at right now was where we always wanted it to be,” said festival manager Shawn Petsche.

“We are a sustainable festival.”
