I am not worried at all about Cammi playing well for Calgary this year if he doesn't get traded. It's in his best interest as well as it's a contract year and the better he plays the more likely he is able to be traded and to a contender at that.

The question I have is whether Calgary is able to trade him but keep some of his cap hit without paying out actual dollars? Can that be done? Ideally we would trade him but keep 3 million in cap hit but pay nothing out. That should generate a bit of extra interest and return in him.

I am hoping if he goes, it's for a prospect at this point though, as we are getting dangerously close to fielding a record settingly bad team if we keep losing vets.
