These guys could do a lot more for themselves (and the team) by having a good start to the year, leading the younger guys by example, racking up some points (someone has to score), and then get traded at the deadline as some of the AHL talent will have seasoned by then and can come up and fill in for the departed guys.

This is such a stupid post.
Cammelleri is obviously very competitive and in the latter half of his career. He wants a chance to win, not play on a bottom feeder while they rebuild.
