They still have value on there own. It would be pointless to just give away a 4th rounder just because there are low odds you'll get an impact player with that choice. However, when you look at the player coming back, a young, big center who can win faceoffs and will hopefully be able to step in right away, that is much more valuable than the off chance of selecting a Brodie or a Gaudreau. Phenomenal move by Feaster.
