Goalies take so long to develop that I could see someone snapping up Gibson as high as the 3rd or 4th round. Snag a goalie who is 2 years further along in his development? Makes sense to me.
I wouldn't label him as a bust either, and I think it's more likely that they didn't see a point wasting a contract on a G when they have so many young, elite goalies in their system.
