I'll have to watch him more closely next time I watch him play because I didn't really pay attention to how well he turns, stops and changes direction. I definitely didn't think he had any trouble keeping up with the play though.
I think his awkward skating style does force people to over index on how bad ones speed or general skating abilities are. The guys style and technique are for sure less than desirable, but that doesn't actually matter if he gets it done, just looks funny. I'm definitely interested in looking more closely at him this Pre season.
