No, because it probably wouldn't ultimately take that much to acquire. Even a late 1st round pick for a goalie would be extremely rare, if it's ever happened at all before.

Hell yeah. The Kings probably did have plans for Bernier until Quick's sudden rise last year. Not sure who else is in the market for a young #1 goalie, but a future 2nd rounder should be enough if there are no other offers.
