Also, throughout these discussions on hockey markets etc..., people keep posting attendance figures with no reference to ticket prices. When analysing a market's viability, you really need to look at both.
There is a big difference in selling out the Dome or ACC at their ticket prices and say a southern US marketing getting a sell out when 80% of the attendees are in the building on $10 tickets that also give them two free hot dogs and a pop. Very different viability calculations go into those two "sell out crowds".
