Ideally you want a Getzlaf dominating on the 1st line & a Bergeron to dictate the play on the 2nd line. One of each would be nice.
However, beggars can't be choosers & the Flames are currently in the Darkness. We don't have a Crosby/Malkin/Getzlaf #1 nor do we have a Bergeron/Krecji/Langkow #1a/b. It could be argued that Backs/Stajan are #2a/b centres.
We can argue over the type of centre that we would like to acquire but that does not alter the fact that we need centres. Any centres with 1st line potential.
Whether it's a miraculous move for Barkov, staying at 6 & picking Monahan or Lindholm, or picking Lazar & Compher at 22 & 28 I will be very happy if the Flames address the C position in any and all ways at the Draft.
