the reason Boston is successful is because they are a bunch of really good players. Most aren't all star calibre but still quality players. Imo this is the team you try to model your build around. Bergeron and Krejci are great players but they would definitely be classified in the tier below Crosby and Malkin. This is why in a deep draft I think you need keep the picks.
I think it is important to look at the player and not the draft position. Would these players slotted 5 or 6 be rated 5 or 6 if they were in a previous draft class. I don't think you can penalize a player because he came out in a really strong draft class. Look at Yakipov, speculation is that he would fall back to five or six if he was in this draft. Does that mean he isn't as good of a player?
