I CAN place context on the Carter and Sedin plays...and both were retaliation for prior incidents. And I don't deny that Keith can be provoked into stupid stickwork...I don't believe that he would be alone, among players in the NHL in "Getting even".
If you feel that that makes Keith a "dirty player" that is your perogative, I disagree that his overall play is "dirty", but I will grant careless and undisiplined when provoked. And that kind of stickwork retaliation is not unique to Keith.

Step back and listen to yourself here. In your initial response to me in this thread, you disagreed with my comment that Keith's reputation as a dirty player is certainly growing. You now admit that Keith's high stick on Sobotka is probably dirty and regardless of what you think of Keith's high stick on Carter and elbow to Sedin's head, both acts led to suspensions. And there are other dirty acts that Keith did that went unpenalized such as Keith's slash on Sedin on a breakaway. Keith's reputation as a dirty player is growing.
Like I said, Chris Simon's two handed slash was stickwork retaliation. Bertuzzi's sucker punch of Moore was retaliation for hurting his best friend. Are you going to argue that context is everything in these two incidents?
