Are you suggesting that the best way to compare companies, and the work done by a CEO is by how much money they make/spend?

Seems odd to me, but maybe that's the norm.

Personally, I would think that the number of employees would have a larger part to do with it.

Thats a very good point, as well as considering bonuses. I have been in the non-profit world for 3 years now and one year we got a bonus, and it was about half a weeks pay. The other years we got a $25 Safeway giftcard at Christmas.

I have a feeling the oil industry, even in the hard times , never was that bad.
