So far I am not seeing an improvement in drafting. While it is true that the flames have had more rookies on the roster in recent years, it appears that is only becuase management has opened up spots to "try out" young players. I will be convinced that drafting has improved when some impact players start to produce in the NHL. Baerschi seems like the real deal and falls into the impact player category but he appears to be the only one.
You can talk all day about gaudreau, jankowski, reinheart ect, but until they make it to the nhl and start contributing, It's to early to give feaster credit for improving the flames drafting.

The drafting philosophy has changed, and in my opinion, it's a good thing. The jury is still out though to see if it pays off in the long run.
The funny thing about a lot of GMs, is that their success and failure isn't often apparent until they are gone. It's like politics. There is usually some lag and the successors either get the credit or the disdain based on the actions of the predecessor.
When the Flames were successful, Sutter was humble enough to put a lot of the credit on Coates.
