I'm definitely not a fan of those two picks for the Flames and I really do not understand why everyone keeps thinking the Flames are going to go with a goalie in the first round of this draft. Having Kipper (potentially) retire does suck but drafting this kid is a kneejerk reaction that doesn't help the rebuild. We already have two goalies that can be playing in the NHL in the next 3-4 years: Brossoit and Gillis. Not to mention if Ramo / Berra pan out they are both young enough that they would still be in their prime years in 3-4 years from now. Nothing really suggests the Flames want to go after a goalie in this draft (much less in the first round), all it will do is increase the log jam in the position.
If you shift both of the Flames picks down one selection then that would make a lot more sense to me. (Morin @23 and Zykov @ 29)
IMO, "Team Need" definitely suggests that the Flames should use the Blues pick to either land another potential top pairing Dman or an impact RW.
Instead of Fucale at #22, Morin would make more sense. As you say with the McCoshen pick, we need D for the rebuild and it make a lot more sense to stay on the board and grab Morin at 22. Also, you listed him as 6'5" but most sites have him at 6'7" & 200+ pounds now.
Then at #28, we can again avoid going "off the board" and take Zykov for the same reasons you think the Stars would pick him. We need a big gritty RW to offset our smaller LWers.
Monahan, Morin, Zykov (C, D, RW). Perfect! Stay on the board and cater to team need.
