Is that opposed to all the lazy, dumb coaches in the AHL?
Who is saying these things? Was he mentioned or interviewed for a single NHL job so far this offseason, even as a fringe candidate?
Everything I have heard is that he is fine. He record looks fine, his history of working with youth looks fine, his history with the vets looks fine. There is nothing wrong with fine but it seems unlikely to get you on the fasttrack to the NHL.
Ward may make it someday but there is no reason to believe that he should be there in the near future.
