well glad to see the decision was easy.
was a ps1 and ps2 guy, then moved to the xbox 360 as i only really play the multi-console friendly sports games (ie. EA sports) based primarly on the fact that i didn't need a blu ray player, but more importantly at the time (fresh out of uni) went for the cheaper platform. My gaming hasn't really changed, mostly only play nhl/madden/fifa and maybe a game like assassins creed once a year, i'll easily switch back to sony and go for the ps4.
i thought i'd be having to wait a year or two and get whichever console got to 300-400 bucks first, but if the ps4 starts at 400, i'll be on the sony console before xmas 2014.
i hated the always on kinect/camera, the need for an online connection, just stupid stupid decisions. microsoft got way too ahead of themselves.
i would also say, for an industry so reliant on marketing, etc, i found both console reveal paths to be extremely ridiculous. so much fluff, misinformation and confusion. I could have put together a more excitement garnering presentation, getting out the key juicy points to the end user in a frigin powerpoint slide presentation. just brutal sales and marketing job done for these presentations by both companies. MS took it a step furher with the way they relayed such bad features out to the public. sony perhaps got it right as they had the 'what not to do' lesson learned.
