Think we can - this was the deal that Detroit/Ottawa did in 2011, which was deemed a good draft, though not as good as this one is supposed to be:
The Detroit Red Wings' first-round pick went to the Ottawa Senators as the result of a trade on June 24, 2011 that sent Ottawa and Chicago's second-round picks in 2011 (35th and 48th overall) to Detroit in exchange for this pick.
I did a lot of reading of the FC draft thread which I highly recommend. I have been flipping and flopping between dropping trading the Pitt pick for 2 2nds but lots of question marks and boom/bust labels being thrown out there. Feaster can't afford to miss on these picks and if one of them turns out to be Fucale with the 22nd or 28th and he becomes the next Marty Brodeur, he has to do it.
