Barry Melrose only lasted 16 games as the coach of the gong show in Tampa when they had their crazy owners in 2008.
There have also been a lot of other "interim" coaches who only lasted a few games between coaches (like Al MacNeil's 11 games with the Flames in 2002-03 between Gilbert and Sutter), or others hired part way through a season and not brought back for the following season (like Guy Charron's 16 games with the Flames to end the 1991-92 season).
