The thing is the new menu isn't responsible for doubling the capacity. The switch to MPEG 4 is what doubled the capacity. The new menu could have been left alone with only the change in calculating the capacity and I would have been happy.
Having said that I got the newest update (V194) on both 9242 receivers which seems to be working fine and is better and easier to read than the first update.
