I did a small test this year. Used both Weed Be Gone and Killex on my lawn. I found they both worked. The Weed Be Gone worked a bit quicker. The Killex took a couple of weeks to show the full effect. Overseed your lawn - and don't forget to use some lawn soil at the same time. Its no good if the seed gets to germinate and then the roots find they have no where to go. Consistent watering is important for your lawn. Neither over nor underwatering will do. A great tip is to put an empty tuna can on your lawn when you turn your sprinkler on. Time how long it takes to fill the can with water and that is how long you need to water for twice a week. A two to three inch cut is also optimum.

I tried the Weed-be-gone (a.k.a. rusty water) summer before last. It didn't do anything. If I sprayed 1/2 the bottle on one dandelion, it would turn brown for a few days.
Killex works.
