Having to many good goalies is a good problem to have. Finding out that Berra/Ramo don't cut it on NA ice and being stuck with MacDonald as your starter would be pretty bad.

If the plan really is to make the playoffs, there's no way the Flames start the season with Ramo/Berra + MacDonald tandem in net. That would be the most unproven goaltending lineup in recent NHL history.
Personally, I'd be fine with throwing those guys in and setting ourselves up for another lottery pick. But I doubt management sees it that way. Expect the Flames to try to sign Smith or Emery.
