You might be right, I could see that because of Ramo's bargaining position. I guess just ideally I'd hope Ramo is ok with making KHL type money on a 2-way in the AHL. Besides the money in his pocket he'd know they'd much prefer using him on the big club with that kind of contract. Who knows what everyone has been told behind closed doors but Flames management has been saying things are wide open for everyone to earn a spot in goal. If they add Ramo as a second guy on a one-way deal, that's not really leaving things all that wide open. They can always waive MacD, but I'd think they'd be really leery about doing it straight out of camp. Berra wouldn't be getting that much of a chance, or at the very least it would be easy for him to get the impression he wasn't. I suppose we'll probably see on July 5th.
