While I agree, I still think Feaster needs to push this. If the total paid to DiPietro is $24M, but the Flames can send a roster player like Tanguay back to the Isles as part of the trade, plus the benefit of getting an attractive piece or two from the Isles for taking DiPietro plus the Flames discounted roster for the next few years (not spending to the cap), that money can be recouped and the rebuild process expediated. Might be able to sell it?
