Biggest issue with the Penguins: they have a weird inferiority complex and have to try and prove they are tough.
The team seems to get sick of being the talented team and always hearing how tough the Bruins (or in last years case the Flyers) are to play against.
They then try to go out and play that tough style of hockey, which automatically kills their chances. They instantly stop playing to their strengths, stop dictating the style of play, and they drive the style of play to one that benefits the Bruins.
They have two of the most talented players in the world...but still seem like they would rather go out there and prove they are tougher then the Bruins instead of just beating them with their talent.
Until they stop trying to be something they are not in the playoffs they will not win. Look at Chicago right now, you don't see them trying to prove they are tougher than L.A. They know they are more talented and are going to win that way.
