I think Iggy needs to take this season as a wake up call. Of course, things need to play out, but he is going to make drastic changes to his style of play in order to remain effective in this league. It is as if he is playing like all that was missing was a good centre, and once that happened, everything would get ironed out and he would be 27 again. That has clearly not panned out for him, nor even close.
It should be enough for him to see that he was as much of a problem in Calgary as the Flames were themselves rather than an amazing player struggling against the grain of a terrible team. He needs to take a serious look at himself in order to Recchi-fy his career.
