What about swapping out Heatley and Seto for Burns and Havlat?
How about walking away from an over priced, older Nabakov and offer sheeting Cup champion Niemi?

One guy that can never really be accused of resting on his laurels is Doug Wilson IMO. He's taken plenty of risks, and continued to attempt to tweak that roster into a Cup winner.
I didn't mean resting on laurels at all, I think he's a good GM

I meant specifically trading Marleau, or Heatley earlier, getting some defensive help 3-4 years ago and arguably not too late etc.

he's made moves, but lately they have moreso to extend a window, and he needed to make more moves in the 06-09 window

I liked what he did at the deadline this year a lot and think with Couture they are set up well for the future, but I just think they were missing 1 guy from going over the top
