I wouldn't buy too much into these tests and hopefully the Flames are smart enough not to either. Nichushkin said on TSN he'd never done a test like that before - something I'd imagine is pretty common for any European born player today. If the NHL is anything like the NFL, a big name Canadian guy like Monahan playing in a major market in like Ottawa has to have his agent instructing him to train specifically for the tests at the combine. That's going to have a huge affect on his results.
I could be wrong in all this, but I'd be very shocked if Canadian kids aren't all training for the specific combine tests immediately once their season's end.
