Changing the culture around the room is going to be big for how successful we are going forward and if Giordano/Cammy/Glencross don't deviate from the status quo established by the previous leadership group I don't think it's good for the development of the younger guys in there.

Going back to Dion, he went into the Leafs room and earned the respect of his teammates, coaches and executives very quickly. He changed the culture of the Leafs room and practices(right from the mouth of Burke and Wilson) and as the team transitioned to a playoff one had them 1:41 away from the 2nd round after many of them had never experienced the playoffs before. We need that kind of difference maker. It's why I'm beginning to think that barring surprises, if it comes down to Lindholm or Monahan we should take Monahan. I think Lindholm might have the better on ice-production of the two, but will be behind Monahan in terms of impact in terms of behind the scenes work and making the team click.
It took dion messier four years of turning up the radio before he was able to lead the leafs into the playoffs. Guess he should have turned the radio up even higher before game 7 if he wanted to avoid one of the most epic choke-jobs in recent history.
