Just finished episode 3, and I'm enjoying it so far, although I agree it's not quite the same YET.

My feeling is that with the Netflix, release all at once format, they've taken the delayed payout even further than in the original seasons, which has made the first few episodes a lot of set up for later punchlines. A few examples I've noticed:

Bottom line, I'm keeping the faith in Mitch Hurwitz and the crew that when everything comes together, we'll all be singing their praises.

A few examples I've noticed: Spoiler! There have been a few references to John Beard and John Beard Jr. (John Beard is the news anchor). Seems like they're setting him up to become more significant, especially in GOB's storyline. Michael is attacked by the ostrich at the end of the first episode. In episode 3 Lindsay ends up living on the ostrich farm with her boyfriend. We still don't know how those two things come together. A smaller one in the first episode, Michael walks from Lucille 2's apartment into the Bluth's and delivers what seemed to be a reaction line to something going on in the room, while the camera stays in the hall. We don't see what was going on at that point.
