Would like to chime in on Bowey as someone who's seen him play a lot of hockey this season.
Best asset is his skating. It's wonderful. He likes to jump up into the play a lot and carry the puck but needs to pick his spots better. Doesn't play physical enough but his feet can get him out of some tight spots that he might put himself into defensively. Right hand shot - it's decent but nothing spectacular. Does like to drive the net now and then and score a few goals from down low. Still seems very raw yet but plays in pretty much the best WHL team in terms of developing good defensemen - he's not a dumb player like Phaneuf and as he matures he'll understand when to just make a simple outlet pass and when to turn on the jets and make something happen. Don't see him as a Norris candidate but could be a No. 2 guy who is a solid two-way player if he puts it all together.
The guy who is being criminally underrated by pretty much everyone, is teammate and fellow blueliner Jesse Lees. A Calgary product who is calm and makes smart plays - moves the puck real nicely on offense though he'll never put up huge numbers. Don't see him as very far behind Bowey at all yet he wasn't even invited to the combine. would have zero problem grabbing him in the 3rd round if he's still there.
