So is Baertschi done as a player? He played like crap on the 4th line. Using your Stajan comparison he showed nothing there to earn a chance to advance in the lineup. From his play on the 4th line he would not be as anywhere as good as Cracknell.
Baertschi got buried by big contracts and reputations taking the top-6/9 spots on the Flames and Baertschi put up numbers that would suggests a limited NHL/AHL career.
Answer.... No Baertschi is going to have a great career. He had a wasted year by the Flames stock piling small talented guys that Hartley had to play ahead of him. Hudler, Cammalleri, Tanguay and Cervenka.
