Hanowski is a character player with some size and grit. You need players like that to win in the NHL, or has no one been watching the playoffs? The guy's skating is a little awkward, but it does not hinder him from getting to the right positions and making plays. I don't see anything wrong with him to this point. He fills a need and didn't look out of place in the games he played at the end of the season.

Sure teams need grit and size but they need the guys providing that to be NHL level players not scrubs who can't keep up to the play.
